DiGi Launches ' DiGiMusic Play App' For BlackBerry® Users
Great news to all DiGi BlackBerry® smartphone users! DiGi recently launched a free application for BlackBerry® which offers unlimited downloads from over 500,000 songs, in partnership with Universal Music and Sony Music, two of the world’s largest music labels. Read on more for the full deets!

Kuala Lumpur, 19 April 2011: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (“DiGi”) has today made available its DiGiMusic Play app for BlackBerry® smartphone users. This free music app, which offers unlimited legal music downloads, further enhances DiGi’s mobile music service in the smartphone arena. The application offers DiGi customers a selection of more than 500,000 songs, in partnership with Universal Music and Sony Music, two of the world’s largest music labels.
DiGi's Head of Mobile Internet and Advanced Data Services, Praveen Rajan said, “We’re always working to make our DiGiMusic offerings more relevant and accessible to our smartphone users by offering advanced data services such as the DiGiMusic Play app. This way, we can enhance user experience in music consumption across devices and platforms, while elevating our competitiveness and relevance in the mobile music space.” He added that DiGi plans to introduce the application to even more platforms in the future, following its launch in November last year.
“The DiGiMusic Play app offers unlimited music downloads for DG Smart Plan™ customers on BlackBerry smartphones. We’re making this launch extra special by offering customers one month free unlimited downloads via the app. They will have access to the largest and most affordable music catalogue in Malaysia, with selections from both domestic and international acts, enjoy the latest music album releases as well as receive exclusive promotions and discounts for music events and music merchandise,” Praveen added. The normal subscription rate of RM5/mth applies at other times.

DiGi BlackBerry phone users can search for “DiGiMusic” directly on BlackBerry App World™ or via the link on the DiGi Music website. Users can also retrieve the link to these download points by texting DMP to 2000. The app is available for all BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry® OS 5 and higher.
